Our Committed Team

Mona Relief is a living organism, constantly growing and changing in response to the needs of the Yemeni people. We attract dedicated volunteers and an experienced staff who whole-heartedly support the mission at Mona Relief.

They are responsible for administration, proposals, financial matters, and media. The highest-paid member of the team receives 25,000 Yemeni riyals a month, which is around $40 USD.

Fatik al-Rodaini

Founder

Fatik is a Journalist and a Human Rights activist based in Sana'a, Yemen. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Media from Sana'a University.

Following the invasion of Yemen by Saudi Arabia and its allies, Fatik started posting real time blogs and tweets on various social media platforms. He named his organization after the generous donation of his first donor, Mona- and Mona Relief and Development in 2016.

Fatik is responsible for volunteers, sourcing and distribution of critical aid on the ground, and he puts his life on the line every day to distribute aid under extremely dangerous conditions.

Hassan Azziz

Co-Founder

Hassan has been with Mona Relief since the very beginning, assisting with all fundraising campaigns. A resident of Denmark, Hassan met with Fatik on Twitter when Fatik was tweeting about the daily crimes that happened in Yemen. The first campaign launched was #20foryemen, whose success emboldened them to dream bigger.

Hassan is responsible for Mona Relief web activities such as fundraising campaigns, project management, content and social media.

Dalia Rajeh

Program Manager

Dalia has been working in the humanitarian relief field for six years. She started at Mona Relief in 2018 as an executive secretary and grew into her current program manager role. She was born in Aden and has a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Media from Sana'a University.

Dalia's efficiency, professionalism, and ability to work under pressure are some of her remarkable contributions to the work Mona Relief does.

Fahmi Ali

Financial Officer

Fahmi was born in Sana’a and has a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from Sana'a University. His versatile experience in the government sector (MOM, YEITI, PMTC) and expertise in NGO based accounting practices/standards has been instrumental for Mona Relief.

Fahmi brings a practical approach to the work and enjoys having an active lifestyle.

Abdul Kreem Mohammad

Logistic officer and engineer

Abdul holds a Bachelor’s degree from Sana’a University in Civil Engineering and has years of experience in the civil aviation space. Prior to Mona Relief, he was a consultant engineer at Social Fund for Development overseeing several projects.

His technical and social service training along with his dynamic approach to work are an asset to Mona Relief.

Mariam Al-Mihdhar

Executive Secretary

Mariam holds a Bachelor's degree in Financial and Banking Sciences. Mariam's commitment to lifelong learning is tremendous as she is trained in secretarial/office management along with technical computer skills.

Her sincerity and dedication to Mona Relief's work is remarkable.

Khulood al-Haddad

Human Resources Officer

Khulood has played many roles within the organization such as on the ground volunteer and relationship manager. Khulood holds a Bachelor's degree in Financial Accounting. Prior to Mona Relief, she was Deputy Director at a Yemeni news agency - Saba.

With 7 years of experience in the humanitarian relief space, Khulood's vast knowledge in financial, administrative, and planning aspects has been welcomed at Mona Relief.

Amrita Singh

International Volunteer - Canada

Amrita has a business background and is passionate about social justice. She has been involved in fundraising for women in the Congo and the organization Woman for Woman International. Her skills include systems management and strategy consulting for business.

Zamir Dhanji

International Volunteer - Costa Rica

Zamir has a deep concern for the well-being of refugees and internally displaced people. 
He has been involved with a number of projects involving awareness and fundraising for such causes and reached out to Fatik from Mona Relief to help. Since then, he has assisted in web presence, strategy and relationship building for Mona Relief.

Nusrat Vastani

International Volunteer - USA

Nusrat has experience delivering programs for multinational corporations positively impacting workforce development and technology transformation. She has 20+ years of voluntary service experience with community organizations focusing on youth and leadership development.
