August 22, 2021

Funded by our great partners in Poland Schools for Peace Mona Relief was able to reach out 100 families approximate (800) individuals with food parcels in Heziz area of Sanhan district in Sana’a governorate.

Each food aid basket contains; 25 kg of flour, 5 kg of rice, 5 kg of sugar, 2 litters of cooking oil, 2 kg of red dried lentils, and a carton of sauce.

As the poorest families could not get safe and sufficient food neither clean drinking water because of the decreasing economic situation of the Yemeni household in general. Over 19 million individuals are suffering from the food insecurity and water insecurity too. Which, caused them a severe decrease in their health conditions.

Due to the increasing in the food items prices most families couldn’t offered the basic needs of food to their children and others in the family. Usually, 80% of the most vulnerable households feed their family only on male a day. Which affected the activism of these people. The malnutrition has alleviated the productivity of the family and their daily routines.
