Mona Relief resumes 3 months of intervention to provide clean water in 3 IDPs hosting sites in Sana’a

Mona Relief resumed on July 1st , 2022 providing 27500 liters of clean water per day to 3 IDPs hosting sites in Hamdan district of Sana’a governorate.

Mona Relief’s intervention will last for 3 months to supply Dharwan, al-Reqah, and al-Swad IDPs hosting sites with clean water per day. More than 192500 liters of clean water will be provided weekly and 825000 liters will be provided monthly.

The total of liters that will be provided during the July to September in the 3 sites is 2,530,000 liters during the 92 days. And the total number of beneficiaries in the three sites is 431 HHs approximately (2724 individuals).

This project will be funded by Mona Relief’s fundraising campaign in Patron. Mona Relief started for first time to provide clean water to the 3 IDPs hosting sites in January 2022 to March and we provided during that period more than 3,705,000 liters.

Our intervention came after receiving a request from WASH Cluster Yemen to provide 42500 liters of clean water per day to Dharwan, al-Reqah, and al-Swad IDPs hosting sites due to the need for water there and because the main previous provider wasn’t able to continue supplying the 3 sites for the first three months of 2022.

And in responding to the request from WASH hub Cluster Mona Relief started supplying water tanks on January 1st providing 30,000 liters of clean water per day to more than 270 HHs in approximately (1814 individuals) at Dharwan hosting site, 10,000 liters to more than 129 HHs in approximately (769 individuals) at al-Reqah hosting site, and 2500 liters per day to more than 32 HHs in approximately (141 individuals) at al-Swad hosting site in -Hamdan district – in Sana’a governorate.

The total liters of clean water that was provided to the 3 IDPs hosting sites per day is 42500 during January to March. And the total number of beneficiaries in the three sites is 431 HHs approximately (2724 individuals)

A total of 297,500 liters of clean water was provided weekly and 1,317,500 liters was provided each month and the number of liters were provided during January to March is 3,705,000 million liters.
