On November 6, 2022, Mona Relief team provided food aid baskets to 80 teachers to as a contribution to encourage them to continue teaching students as they didn’t get paid their monthly salaries since October 2016.
Our food aid distribution was funded by our partners in Poland Schools for Peace along with other individuals donors.
More food aid baskets to be distributed during November in Amran and Sana’a. We will update you once we have done our distribution.
Conflict-ravaged Yemen is experiencing one of the worst humanitarian crisis in the world with over 17.4 million people out of its 30 million population are food insecure and in need of assistance to ward off the risk of famine, according to recent estimates by UN aid agencies. This number is projected to go up to 19 million by December 2022.
